First ticket changes in Greater Manchester

First have announced that they plan to start selling zone tickets in Oldham and around the M60

the Oldham ticket will be valid on all first services in Oldham and also on the Oldham road corridor into manchester city centre, the ticket is also valid on the recently extended 18 service, the ticket will be available from November 18th and will be priced at:

day ticket: £3:90
weekly ticket: £13

the M60 ticket will be valid on any first service in the M60 area, it will benefit some services in Salford, Bury, Manchester, Oldham and tameside and will also be valid on the recently extended 18 service, the ticket will be on sale from November 18th and will be priced at:

day ticket: £3:90
weekly ticket £13

Both tickets are on a trial basis and if it works out first will look at doing the same in areas they run like Bolton, Rochdale and other parts of Bury

As a lot of people will be aware of child weekly for first Manchester was reduced to £7 as a trail and has now been confirmed as the new price

First have confirmed that over the Christmas holiday period they will again lower the child weekly ticket down to just £5!
