Halton Blog 25.8.2013

Hello people and welcome to the first weekly blog about whats happening on the Halton bus scene. This blog will be a weekly blog which will be updated every Monday evening to keep you up to date with the previous weeks action around Halton. This weeks edition will feature the news from both Halton Transport and Arriva Runcorn depot, however we will be alternating between the 2 week by week.

Ok so whats been happening at Halton Transport this week? Ahead of the time-table changes Halton have updated there website to advertise there new services these include...

27: Every half hour
62a : Which is very different to its predecessor, and extreamly similar to the 62.
14f : School days only service

Aswell as changes to the current 14a / 26a and 61 services.

Despite the website update Halton have unfortunately not updated there fleet list and anything in "enthusiasts corner" for that matter. Also to all those people who may not have heard Halton have recently taken delivery of a second batch of 3 solos from Blackpool Transport. On the "spotting" front this week it has been considerably quite, with few of the   older Marshall Capitals seeing any action. However 21 was spotted brokendown in green oaks on Thursday.

As for Arriva's Runcorn depot this week, well lets say it was one they would prehaps want to forget. With a high volume of cadet breakdowns namely 2532, 2554, 2521, 2522. A recent arrival is in the form of 2459, not to sure how long it's here for but a best guess would be a month.

Well that includes this weeks blog thanks for reading, see you next week!
