Well that time of year is coming up again and everyone is wondering what their local Transportation services are going to be like over the Festive Period, In this Blog Post we aim to Compare This Years Boxing Day Timetables against Last Years to see if Buses on Boxing Day on Merseyside is improving or if things are getting worse.
Route 1 Liverpool - Chester Via Chester Zoo and Cheshire Oaks Operated by Stagecoach.
This is one service i expected to improve this year as last year i counted over 40 people waiting for the Bus a good 40 Minutes before the first one was Due out of Liverpool.
Instead the First Bus from Rock Ferry - Chester will be Leaving 25 Minutes than last Year, The First Bus from Birkenhead to Chester will be Leaving 25 Minutes later than last year and the first Bus from Liverpool - Chester will be leaving 23 Minutes later than last year, Really this Service could of done with starting a bit more Early as the demand was more than there. There is however an Improvement to the times Buses are finishing. as the Last Bus from Liverpool to Chester will be an hour and 23 Minutes Later than Last year.
Now lets look at Buses going the other way, The First Bus from Ellesmere Port to Liverpool will Leaving 17 Minutes Later than Last year and the first Bus from Chester to Liverpool will leave 10 Minutes later. Again however there is an Improvement to the Times Buses will finish, The last Bus from Chester to Liverpool will Leave 10 Minutes Later and the Last Bus from Chester to Birkenhead Bus Station will leave 20 Minutes later.
10A St Helens - Liverpool Via Prescot and Page Moss Operated by Arriva and Stagecoach
Again This is another service i expected to see improvement on as last year i got the First 10A out of St Helens - Liverpool (Arriva's 8:10am) and was full standing load by Kensington.
It would sadly appear that none of the Operators have changed their Timetables this year.
