A Day on JPT Buses 30/11/13

Today i decided i would head into Manchester to track down some JPT Buses, Normally i would do this on a Wednesday but it had been a very busy week so Saturday was picked, I forgot the Rugby was on and with my train coming over 40 mins late and being a full standing load by the time we got to Manchester i was almost an hour later than planned, i was however able to bounce back and have a good time in Manchester.

I was after a total of 10 JPT Buses, 6 of them was out in service and i was able to Ride and Photo 5 of them.

JPT Wright Liberator 533 R873 LHG on route 118 Manchester Shudhill - North Manchester General Hospital.

The first Bus to tick of my List and it was the Bus i like with JPT the most! This Bus still has its strong Engine however this Driver was in no rush and took his time, This creating a nice and relaxing ride, The Bus Seat i picked aswell was very comfy.

Another Bus ticked of my list, When i walked onto this Bus there was an overpowering smell of Fuel, Maybe a fault to look at? I did notice that the Bus still rattles when Breaking and Idle however it is not as bad as it was. Another thing i noticed was the Engine seems to have loads of life in it sounding really healthy!

JPT Spryte 152 S3 JPT on route 118 Manchester Shudhill - North Manchester General Hospital.

Another Bus ticked of my list and it was a Decent one to! This Bus is a fast example shooting of the line with no problems at all! The Bus was a rattle free example, I have to say this is one of JPT's best Buses!

JPT Volvo Olympian 513 P522 SGP on route 118 North Manchester General Hospital - Manchester Shdhill.

Another Bus to tick of my list, I had been on the Bus less than 5 Minutes before we caught up with S3 JPT that was on the 118 before us, According to the Driver the Bus had just cut out and was refusing to start up again, A shame as it had only just put a a very strong performance, he only had two Passengers who transferred onto our Bus so they could continue their way. Onto this Bus and i have to admit its in good condition for its age, It was fast with a strong Engine behind it, The Suspension is a lot better on this Olympian than on its Sister 512 that knocks you flying everywhere!

After waiting around a while i decided i would get this Bus as i have not done one of these today. I did find this Bus to be a decent example it was Fast and good in the Engine department, The Bus was also rattle free but you could really feel the Pot Holes in the Road.

I had not been on one of these Buses today so i thought i would be a good idea to get this one back to Manchester, Bad Idea! This Bus was shocking! it did more rattling when moving than it did when it was Idle! Everytime you Break the Bus bangs itself into first gear knocking you forward! Think this is the worst Bus with JPT.

Another Bus ticked of my list to get! I had not seen this Bus all Day, Wonder if it replaced S3 JPT that broke down or maybe its just avoided me until now? Anyway onto the Bus, it Struggled with the loadings for most of the trip, Maybe an Extra Bus could be added into the Early Evening cycle or maybe a bigger Bus next time? I noticed however the Bus did not Rattle as much as it did last time i had it so an Improvement has been made!

I have never done this service under JPT before but i did not want this Bus again! see above for reason why.

Another Photo i got was of this B6 P332 JND That was at North Manchester General Hospital, The Bus was overheating so had to be ran in.
