All change for Service 319 St Helens - Ormskirk

Service 319 that runs between St Helens and Ormskirk serving Rainford Village and Edge Hill University is currently operated by South Lancs Travel of Atherton (Leigh) however South Lancs have announced that they plan to discontinue the service from 2nd April. This would mean that St Helens would lose its link to Edge Hill University and Ormskirk

Ace Travel of Aintree who operate a number of Services in the Liverpool and St Helens are to step in to operate One trip in each direction on a Monday to Friday on a trial Basis meaning if Passenger numbers are low these trips will also be Withdrawn, the service will start from Monday 6th April

MX12 CFJ in Queen Square Bus Station
These trips are to depart St Helens at 8:00am and Depart Ormskirk at 6:05pm

There will also be a stand change in St Helens Bus Station, from the date Ace Travel start the 319 Buses will depart from stand B10 (outside Arriva Office) instead of stand 9 that South Lancs Travel currently use.

  1. Actually from 2nd April there won't be a 319 service which is a shame as a couple of journies are busy with students travelling to/from Edge Hill College.

    Reason being is that Ace Travel has recently gone into Administration

  2. i sent a tweet to merseytravel earlier and they said they are working to find a replacement so they may be a chance for this service yet

  3. Ace Travel have Cease Trading, Its just a wait and see what happens with the Service.
