Stagecoach Merseyside Launches The X10 Service from Kirkby to Rhyl

On Sunday 4th July, Stagecoach Merseyside introduced a new service which runs each Sunday until the End of August and the service will also run on the Late Summer Bank Holiday on August 30th.

The X10 runs from Kirkby Civic Centre to Rhyl via Fazakerley, Bootle, Liverpool City Centre, Birkenhead, Bromborough, Eastham and the service then runs fast stopping at Flint McDonalds, Talacre, Ffrith Beach (Prestatyn), Robin Hood Camp and terminates at Rhyl SeaQuarium. The service serves all stops between Kirkby and Eastham Bridle Road.

With this service being a special service similar to the X8 which runs between Chorley and Keswick, both English and Welsh Concessionary passes are not valid on the service but concessions do qualify for a reduced ticket price, more details on this can be found below.

Considering the rather poor weather conditions, the service did reasonably well for it's first day, around 25 people used the service and can only imagine on a day with better weather, the service should hopefully do better. I plan to take another trip on this service later on this month and I hope to see this service being well used each summer.
