On 5th October 2018 The Wirral's Largest Independent Bus Operator Avon Buses Ceased Trading, Avon Buses was founded in 1981 and was Called Avon Minis at the time, Over the years the company slowly grew until it had a network covering The Wirral, Liverpool and Sefton. The company Operated around 35 Buses from their Depot in Prenton, Wirral. An update on The Wirral Globe The Company directors Blame The Metro Mayor and Merseytravel.
